Taught in blocks
We teach in blocks, a few weeks on one position, so you go deep instead of skimming the surface. One idea at a time, until it actually sticks.
All-levels & Advanced
All-levels welcomes every belt onto the same mat. Advanced gives experienced students more detailed technique and live training. It’s friendly and it’s competitive at the same time, and that mix is the whole magic of the place.
How a class runs
We teach in blocks, a few weeks on one position, so you go deep instead of skimming the surface. One idea at a time, until it actually sticks.
Every class is a warm-up, some technique, drilling, then rolling. You always know what you’re walking into, and you always finish with the real thing.
You don’t learn jiu-jitsu by watching it. You learn it by doing it, over and over, with someone who knows more than you.
Grips, control and patience. The traditional kimono, and the deepest technical game.
Faster and sweatier, more scrambles. The same art at a different speed.
Most people end up doing both and loving them for different reasons. Try one, try the other, and see which one grabs you.
New to it
If you’ve never trained, don’t overthink it. Most people find their feet in the beginners and fundamentals classes first, then step straight into this room. Either way you’ll be looked after. They’ll guide you, give you tips, and go easy while you find your feet. The only person who can make jiu-jitsu dangerous is you, and we won’t let you do that.
“The higher belts are the safest people in the room to roll with. And always the nicest.”
