The room in front of him
Jose reads the level, the energy and what your members need from the session.
Seminars with Jose
Jose travels to teach. Thirty years of real Carlson Gracie jiu-jitsu, a warm room, and a seminar your members will still be talking about weeks later. If you run an academy and want him on your mats, here’s how it works.
What he brings
Traditional, efficient jiu-jitsu. Taught the way it was passed to him. Strong foundations for the newer members, and sharper, specific games for your competitors. Gi or no-gi. He reads the room and pitches it to the level in front of him, so everyone walks away with something they can use on Monday.
Jose reads the level, the energy and what your members need from the session.
Strong foundations for newer members, with sharper detail for experienced competitors.
Everyone leaves with something clear, practical and ready to put into their own game.
Why Jose
A real Carlson Gracie lineage, three decades on the mat, and the coach who brought jiu-jitsu to Central Otago and built a family of academies from scratch. He’s brought world-class names into the country himself, and he’s as good with a room of white belts as he is with a room of black belts.
“They come to me because they like the culture, and they know I take jiu-jitsu very seriously.”

No polished brief needed. A few possible dates and a rough idea of the room is enough to begin.
