Our female only classes are great for those who still don’t feel comfortable joining the general classes and feel more comfortable in the environment with only women. Which is totally fine too! This class is for all levels. For women of all abilities we are happy to have you!
The amount of women in the academy has significantly grown over the years and because of this, we are happy to share this safe space with the strong women on our team. We also have numerous amounts of our women also attending our other adults classes too. So usually when people get a bit more experience, confidence, and feel safe in the gym’s environment then any class would be suitable. The environment is very friendly and everyone is welcome to try it! We encourage you to try all the classes and ask questions if you are not sure.
Participation level: White to Black Belts
Our BJJ warm-ups for beginner and advanced Women’s classes are centred around light cardio. It ranges from running in a circle around the academy to stationary cardio exercises like jumping jacks and skipping.
In Gracie BJJ, there are over 600 techniques. Our Women’s classes focus on technical instruction, positional movements, and advanced techniques depending on your beginner or advanced level.
Rolling is an all-encompassing term for sparring or drilling at various degrees of intensity. Our Women’s classes include rolling and sparring at different intensity levels depending on your beginner or advanced level.
